| Free Legal Advice - Lawyers On Call Program
What is Lawyers on Call?
Lawyers on Call is a public service program sponsored by the State Bar of Arizona and Phoenix’s Channel 12 KPNX TV. On the first Tuesday of the month, members of the public can have their legal questions answered by volunteer lawyers.
When Should I Call?
The lawyers answer calls from 5-7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month. The number to call is 602-258-1212. (Please note that lawyers will only be available at this phone number from 5-7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. This phone number is not in service at other times).
What Questions Can I Ask?
Each month, the Lawyers on Call program will feature a different topic of law. (See schedule below). The lawyers who volunteer for the phone bank each month are specifically trained in that area of law. For example, February’s topic of law was “Credit and Debt,” and the participating attorneys assisted callers with legal questions about credit companies, bankruptcies, financial issues, etc. Please limit your questions to that month’s topic of law.
Who Can Participate?
Anyone! Just watch Channel 12 on the first Tuesday of the month from 5-7 p.m. and you will be given the phone number to call to speak with a volunteer lawyer.
