State Bar of Arizona Expands Access to Justice Statewide Through Partnership with KGUN 9 News in Southern Arizona
PHOENIX – The State Bar of Arizona is thrilled to announce its upcoming "Ask The Expert" phone bank in partnership with KGUN 9 News. This event will take place on Wednesday, December 11, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., giving Southern Arizona residents answers to their family law questions for free.
The live phone banks make qualified legal professionals available to the public free of charge and can address a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody and domestic relations issues. These brief yet informative consultations offer guidance and resources to help members of the public navigate their unique legal situations. While legal professionals cannot provide formal representation during these calls, they can help callers take the first steps toward addressing their legal needs.
This new partnership, is an expansion of on-going free legal help hotlines the State Bar of Arizona currently does with ABC 15 Arizona in Phoenix. Both stations are owned by The E.W. Scripps Company.
"As a Tucson resident, I'm thrilled to bring the State Bar of Arizona's successful phone banks to our community," said Ted Schmidt, President of the State Bar of Arizona Board of Governors. "This initiative breaks down barriers to legal assistance by offering free resources and helping families find clarity on important family law matters."
"By connecting our viewers with legal professionals who can provide guidance during challenging times, we're fulfilling our promise to be a trusted resource that strengthens our Southern Arizona community and helps families thrive," said Tregg White, General Manager of KGUN 9.
