Young Lawyers Division Events

The Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Arizona is an active group of attorneys who hold networking and charitable events. This calendar provides important dates for members and other interested parties.

Attention young lawyers or those new to the profession!  Join us at the State Bar of Arizona Annual Convention for a day dedicated to YOU! 

In a world dominated by screens, we understand the appeal of virtual attendance—but there's something truly irreplaceable about the energy and opportunities of being there in person.  The first day of this year’s Annual Convention will kick off with a breakfast to meet fellow attorneys new to the profession just like you followed by a series of dynamic CLE sessions.  Finish the day with a social event – enjoy drinks and snacks while connecting with your peers. 

As attorneys who have launched their careers in a predominantly virtual world, you’ve likely mastered the art of remote collaboration and online communication. However, this year’s Annual Convention offers a unique opportunity to step away from the screen and immerse yourself in the power of personal connection. Engage in face-to-face conversations, build connections through shared experiences, and tap into the dynamic energy of practicing law in a way that simply can’t be replicated.  This is where we build referral networks, find mentors, and cultivate lasting friendships that make our careers not only profitable, but rewarding.

Executive Council Meetings

Executive Council Meetings are held from noon to 1 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month. Executive Council meetings alternate between in-person meetings held at the Phoenix State Bar offices and telephonic meetings.  If you are interested in attending an Executive Council meeting please contact Sarah Schneider at Sarah.Schneider@staff.azbar.org.

Charitable Events

Every year the YLD sponsors a holiday party at Peter Piper Pizza for over 280 kids that are in group homes. Nearly 40 attorneys and legal professionals volunteer their time.  If you are interested in volunteering for this great cause contact Sarah Schneider at Sarah.Schneider@staff.azbar.org.

Networking Events

• Phoenix YLD networking events are generally held the second Thursday of each month at various locations throughout the Phoenix metro area. Watch for your email invitation.
• Tucson YLD networking events occur a few times a year. Watch for your email invitation.
