Biography
Annette Burns has been a Family Law Specialist since 1994 and has practiced law in Arizona since 1984. She is a past President of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), an international organization of family court, legal and mental health professionals. Ms. Burns has been a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) since 2001. She served on the original Arizona Supreme Court Committee on Rules of Procedure in Domestic Relations Cases from 2003-2006 and has served on every Rules committee reviewing the Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure since that time. Burns is a co-author of the Arizona Family Law Rules Handbook for Thompson/ West publishers, updated annually. She maintains an ADR and parenting coordinator practice and frequently serves as mediator, Special Master, and arbitrator in family law matters.
