Biography
John is a life-long Arizona resident. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley, where he double majored in rhetoric and social science with an emphasis in legal theory. He earned his law degree from the University of Arizona where he was a member of Arizona Law Review and served as an extern to U.S. District Court Judge Hon. Richard Bilby.
John has been litigating cases involving catastrophic injury and death for more than 20 years. He has successfully tried many cases to verdict. He is a Certified Specialist in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation by the State Bar of Arizona Board of Legal Specialization. He is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, indicating his peers rank him at the highest level of ethical and professional excellence. He is listed in Super Lawyers for his work in medical malpractice cases. John is also a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and American Board of Trial Advocates and recognized by Best Lawyers, leading invitation-only associations of experienced trial lawyers and judges. He is past co-chairman of the State Bar of Arizona College of Trial Advocacy, Arizona’s leading trial college for developing lawyers, where he also serves on the faculty. In addition, he is a member of the State Bar of Arizona Civil Practice and Procedure Committee, the committee responsible for drafting and reviewing the rules governing the way civil cases are litigated.
