Doreen McPaul

     

     

    Doreen N. McPaul has more than 25 years of legal experience and serves as an in-house attorney for several Arizona tribes. She became the first Native American to lead the Bar upon her election in June 2026 and will head the organization for the next year.

    McPaul is the executive director of the Tribal In-House Counsel Association, served as the former Navajo Nation Attorney General and previously was a teacher on the Navajo Nation.

    Her priorities during her tenure include expanding access to justice in rural Arizona, helping attorneys understanding the tribal legal system and preparing new lawyers for practice.
